Prescription Charges

Do you use 2 or more medications per month?

You can buy prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) from the NHS which may make your prescriptions cheaper. You can only get a PPC if you live in England.

Who Pays for a prescriptions?

Most adults in England have to pay prescription charges. Some items are always free, including contraceptives and medicines prescribed for hospital inpatients. There is certain criteria where you may be entitled to free NHS prescriptions.
