- PHE / RCGP Hepatitis C Course, Enhancing Prevention, Testing and Care
PHE are pleased to announce the relaunch of the hepatitis C course to support the learning needs of non-medical and non-clinical workers in drug and alcohol services to better understand the issues around hepatitis C for injecting drug users. The course has just been updated to reflect the new treatments available. The course is available via the RCGP online learning platform, is free of charge and takes around two hours to complete. Participants can print a certificate at the end of the course to contribute to their portfolios. PHE would encourage everyone working in drug treatment to improve their knowledge of hepatitis C to help reduce stigma and support more people to access the new treatments, which have no side effects and very high cure rates. The course is available here for free, and users will need to register for an elearning account to access it.
- Orion have an e-learning module on their website. It consists of a comprehensive NSP (needle syringe program) Booklet and a following exam which will provide a certificate if the exam is passed. The link is the following:
