Problems with NHS Smart Cards, including issue of new cards, can be resolved by contacting the IT Helpline on 0300 5550340.

Following reports of issues with smart cards and the need to send these to the local system for renewals or replacements we would like to remind all teams of the following:
  • You were probably all set up on the same date, therefore, when a 90 day renewal notification is received begin the process of updating cards especially if you need to send these to the NHS for renewal.
  • Stagger this process to ensure that at least some members of the team are able to download scripts and access other important information on your system.
